Just a few easy tips that can save you a little time and money.

Follow your favorite brands on Facebook and Twitter. They may mention special sales and post online codes that otherwise may go unseen. If you aren't already on their mailing list, be sure to join that too.

Ask retailers when they plan to have sales. Most department stores will honor a sale event even if it begins after you bought something. Show them your receipt and they might refund the difference.

Read user reviews. Especially when buying online. When you can't try on the shoes first, it makes a difference when you can see how other people fit in them.
